I love to give back to organizations I believe are making a difference in our community, on our beaches and around the world.
This year 5% of your purchase (pre tax & shipping) will be donated to one of the following organizations.
This year I've chosen 4 organizations that are dear to my heart. Read below to see where you'd like your 5% donation to go.
“The Beat Lives On” is a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization that was started in memory of CJ Neumann, dedicated to helping others win the battle that he so valiantly tried to fight. Our primary mission is to raise funds to sponsor beds and outpatient support for those continuing their path to recovery from addiction. CJ’s loss will not be in vain. We will keep his music “beats” alive while supporting others to keep their heart “beats” going by sponsoring those continuing their path to recovery from addiction.
1. To raise awareness about the impact & devastation that drugs & alcohol cause individuals & families.
2. Help to alleviate the financial burden of recovery, by offering assistance with insurance copays & time in recovery.
3. To utilize community events and fundraising efforts to spread awareness of the drug epidemic sweeping the nation.
CJ was my cousin who lost his battle against drug addiction on May 6, 2014 at the age of 22, while in recovery.
The Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida is an accredited and award-winning not-for-profit association founded in 1991 by parents of children with Down syndrome. It has grown from a few families to over 1,200 individuals with DS and their families. We serve families in an area of over 10 counties with help from more than 17,000 friends, professionals, volunteers and other supporters. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors. More than 50% of our board members have family members with Down syndrome.
DSACF is the leading voice for all individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We offer hope, acceptance and empowerment through advocacy, education and awareness as we guide individuals with Down syndrome through life. Together, we create a Central Florida community composed of and dedicated to individuals with Down syndrome – and those who love them – so that each may realize their potential.
I've chosen to donate to the DSACF since it's an association very important to my family...and our little Cooper Trooper!
